Guillow's kits: substitution of basswood for balsa stringers
The 1/16" square balsa stringer in Guillow's kit are very fragile and easy to break. In building my Series 400 Spitfire I'm using basswood replacements from Tower Hobbies. Any additional weight will be a fraction of an ounce over balsa. PN# LXAS95
