Prototype 125 watt monoblock tube amplifier KIT
Since business slows down during the summer I will be experimenting with a prototype monoblock tube amplifier which should be capable of 125+ watts. Bob Carver has really outdone himself on this one. 900 watt tube monoblock amps using 20 Tung-Sol KT120 output tubes per monoblock. These amps are outrageous! Photos below and link to his Ebay web site where
I was lucky enough to find a pair a Dynaco Mark 6 tube amps for sale locally. They are heavy SOB's at 55 pounds each. Unfortunately they are missing the 8417 tubes but I may convert them to run on 6550's or KT88's.

Can you seriously do anything with an amp that that has an output of just 3 watts? I've been sent some info on some lovely little amps, but just 3 watts? What can you do with that?
Every so often I read where someone is talking about tube watts being different than SS watts or one being more powerful at say 50 watts than the other. Can someone explain this to me.
