Do you let others advertise on your site?

Hi everybody - I have had a few interested parties want to advertise on my site... no face painters just photographers and party shops and things like that... does anyone here already do this?

I have no idea how to even approach this.... do I charge them , or just trade for links/ads on their sites?
What format do I ask for the ads in so I can upload them to my site?
